Burrata Cheese Board

Burrata Cheese Board is a summer appetizer that is crazy simple to put together and pairs creamy burrata with it’s best compliments: prosciutto, fruit and nuts.

Burrata Cheese Board

Ah, I am so excited to share some burrata with you! The burrata cheese board is the appetizer of the summer and can be paired with the best of fresh ingredients.  Pack it for a festival picnic, bring it out on a fancy tray for porch drinking or serve it with champagne cocktails for a pre-dinner snack. This recipe is versatile, simple and a mega crowd pleaser.

Burrata Cheese Board

Burrata Cheese Board requires 5 pairings for ultimate flavor:

  1. Roasted tomatoes
  2. Rolled prosciutto
  3. Olive oil soaked garlic bread
  4. Pistachios
  5. Melon

I chose these pairings for the ultimate burrata charcuterie because they work so dang well with burrata, but also because only 2 ingredients require prep.  We can’t have you slaving in the kitchen for too long, you just don’t have time for that! The best news is that plating is easy and quick too, so you’ll have the app out in no time.

The only thing you need for plating for Burata Cheese Board is a tray, cutting board or slate.

I absolutely love the trays and cutting boards available now (no joke, our wedding registry has at least 8 on it)! When laying out your ingredients, use the whole space of the board, place some items in bowls and use knives and tiny tongs/forks for serving.  Lastly, plop the burrata in the middle and using a knife, slice through it a few times to spread it out. I promise, it’s just as good as egg porn.

Burrata Cheese Board

In summary.

The Jolly Hostess twist this week pays tribute to the king of all cheeses: burrata (Bel Giso is my fave).  This guy is the center of it all and allows some DIY action when serving.  The combos are endless (think, garlic bread, burrata, melon OR garlic bread, burrata prosciutto, pistachios) and will result in unique flavors with every bite.  Time to get your summer burrata on – and the bubbly!
